Our Level 2 class is for children around three years old. These students know the basics and are beginning to read simple three-letter words as well as simple sentences. The following is what your child will experience on a daily basis as a student in Eagle’s Level 2 class:
Phonics/Reading
This class focuses on basic phonics and the alphabet. At this level, students begin to read and write simple three-letter words. Using pictures and vocabulary flashcards, listening activities, games, and tests, the students are able to identify new words and sounds easily. Students in this level also begin to write in their textbooks.
Writing
Your child will practice writing letters, words, and their names as well as learn how to properly hold a pencil and write letters correctly. At the beginning of this class, the students write three-letter words and by the end, they can write full sentences.
Math
This class focuses on counting, recognizing written numbers, comparing numbers, and recognizing basic shapes, and other basic math concepts. By the end of this level, they will learn to do simple addition. During math homework time they will learn to write numbers as well as practice the skills they learn in class.
Conversation
Students in this class can easily talk about their own personal information (name, age, where they live, favorites). On top of this they will learn more complex conversations about things such as talking about others.
